About Us

Sieze the Day!

Since coming to Kansas, I have been very fortunate to own and operate driving schools (KS International Drivers Ed and Premier Driving School) and work
with special education students for over 20 years. Sadly, what I have found is that once people in special education graduate from high school, it is very difficult for them to obtain or retain employment in the local workforce.

I have been blessed, so I feel the need to pass those blessings on to others.

Pay it Forward

With the unconditional support from my wife and encouragement from our church, I have gained the confidence to meet this need in our community. So, we took a leap of faith to start the Carpe Diem Café. We truly believe this concept will help those in need and give those who are more fortunate the understanding of how important it is that we all support one another; regardless of our current situation in life. With the start of the café, we will help those in need to gain personal value, financial independence, and lifelong training skills for possible future employment.

Carpe Diem Cafe

Carpe Diem Café is committed to hiring, training, and helping those that are in need. This is not just limited to those with special needs; we will work with those that are in special circumstances as well. People that have been in abusive relationships (battered women), or down on their luck, or have social or financial setbacks.

Carpe Diem Café is different than most nonprofit businesses in the sense that
it only needs the startup costs. Once the business is up and running, the company becomes a self-sustaining business with the profit we make from the product we sell. With the support of local companies/businesses, churches, schools, and private donations from those that are willing to give; we believe that the future will be bright for everyone involved.

Carpe Diem Café is a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Organization.
